PURAVIS® Glass Optical Fibers
SCHOTT AG
PURAVIS® glass optical fibers are high-performance glass optical fibers (GOF) designed for medical applications including robotic surgery and endoscopy. The portfolio includes three fiber types with different light emission angles (70, 85, and 120 degrees) to meet various clinical requirements. The fibers are known for superior light performance, high autoclave resistance, and longevity. They are used in light guides for transmitting white light from light sources to the body with minimal loss and high quality. The fibers feature optimized surface properties through silane-based coating processes for improved processing and bonding in endoscope installation.
