NOVOLAY® secure combines high light transmission with excellent burglary and bullet resistance. SCHOTT's NOVOLAY® secure offers outstanding transparency while meeting extremely high attack resistance. NOVOLAY® secure offers the same level of impact and bullet resistance as PYRANOVA® secure, while also providing excellent levels of light transmission. SCHOTT safety glass for protecting people and properties can offer less than half the weight and thickness of comparable glass composites.

High impact resistance

Impact resistant according to DIN EN 365 standard in the resistance classes P1A to P5A.

Burglary resistant

Delays the creation of an opening in accordance with EN 356 and EN 1627 standards in classes up to P8B.

Outstanding bullet resistance

Stops the penetration of projectiles in accordance with EN 1063 standard.

High light transmission

Impressive optical quality that surpasses low-iron glass.

Low thickness and weight

Can be less than half the thickness and weight of comparable glass composites (28 to 70 mm).
