NEXTERION® 3-D Epoxy coating (E+)
SCHOTT AG · source
The NEXTERION® 3-D Epoxy coating enables optimal binding of biomolecules such as DNA, RNA, peptides, proteins, and cells on solid surfaces for molecular diagnostics and immunoassay applications. Polymer coatings enable unmatched test processing speed by eliminating time consuming blocking steps. In addition, this functional coating enables local and patterned application regardless of substrate size. The 3-D Epoxy coating exhibits excellent adhesion to both glass and polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) surfaces. It offers high transparency and demonstrates strong resistance to solvents like toluene, acetone, and methanol. Produced in ISO class 5 clean room conditions using a standardized process and running a stringent quality control system, substrates coated with 3-D epoxy are available in standard and custom formats.
Product information
NEXTERION® specialized polymer coatings have anti-fouling properties that prevent the non-specific adsorption of unwanted biomolecules to glass, metals, and plastics, polycarbonate (PC) and polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) and improve selectivity compared to silan-based coating systems.
