Surgical Cement

Surgical cement made from zinc oxide and eugenol. Does not contain asbestos. Used as protective covering in surgically treated or extracted areas to avoid contact with irritating or infectious substances. Applications include dry socket cases, periodontal procedures, Vincent's infections, immediate dentures, temporary fillings, temporary cementing and extractions. The mixture polymerizes gradually providing sufficient handling time.
