CORiTEC splint comfort MSI

Our new product CORiTEC splint comfort MSI is a further development of our conventional splint material CORiTEC splint comfort. Thanks to its patented technology, it also adapts reversibly to the individual situation in the mouth. Our new splint material complements these impressive properties with MSI® technology. CORiTEC splint comfort MSI is available in heights of 16 and 20 mm. The formation of biofilms is a major medical problem, e.g. in the case of caries. By disrupting microbial communication with special molecules, bacterial infections could be contained without the germs developing resistance, as they are not killed but only isolated. Some algae are virtually biofilm-free, such as the red algae Delisea, which produces quorum sensing blocking furanones. Inspired by this, Unilever/Penrhos Bio has developed a biomimetic technology against biofilms, RemoraTM, which also acts on other microorganisms and can therefore combat "multi-species" biofilms.
