Intraoral Optical System
A scanner is only as good as what happens next. Foundation captures in the same system where your cases are designed and made — so the scan doesn't get exported, converted, or emailed anywhere. It's already there, ready for design and fabrication.
Fast, Wireless, All Day
No cable across the patient, no cart to work around. Three hours of continuous scanning, then back on the dock.
Straight Into Design
Stop scanning and the case is already in your dashboard, ready to design. Nothing to export, upload, or send.
Make it Your Way
Design it yourself with AI, hand it to a dedicated designer, or have it made by a partner lab. Same scan. Light in the hand. Gone from your mind. A scanner earns its place by being forgettable. Foundation is wireless and weighs 240 g with the battery in it, so nothing tethers you to a cart and nothing fights your wrist in the second molar. It charges on contact in its dock, and its tips go through your sterilizer with everything else.
Ergonomic
Under 240 g (8 oz) with the battery built in, with internal components laid out to distribute weight along the wand rather than bunch it at the tip. It is sized for a natural grip, so it stays comfortable through a full day of scanning.
All Day Battery
The battery is sealed inside — fewer seams and part lines, so debris has nowhere to collect. It charges through contacts the moment you set it down, back to 75% in under an hour, with enough capacity to run a full clinical day.
Easy Ownership
The body and scanning tips are made from a plastic blend built to take abuse and chemicals, so you can clean it without thinking twice. Tips are rated to 180 autoclave cycles at 134 °C and run through your existing sterilization workflow — no separate protocol, no disposable sleeve. Everything, in one place, all at once. Most scanners end their job at a file. You capture, you export, you find the folder, you upload it somewhere else — and every one of those handoffs is a place for a case to stall. Foundation captures inside ScanOS, where your design and production work already lives. The scan doesn't travel between systems. It simply arrives.
It knows the case
Start from a design workflow and ScanOS asks for exactly what that indication needs, in order — instead of leaving you to remember it and find out later.
Already in the cloud
The scan lands in your account the moment you finish. Open it on any machine in the practice, or hand it off without moving a file anywhere. One login. One place. ScanOS is SprintRay's scanning layer, and it lives where the rest of your work already does — as a Scan tab alongside Design, Studio, and Print Setup. Your team learns one interface instead of two, signs in once instead of twice, and never has to find out which folder a case ended up in.
Embedded User Experience
Foundation is the first scanner made for ScanOS, which is why there's no import step, and no translation layer between them.
Unified Workflow
A desktop app handles capture and stitching in real time on your Windows PC, then gets out of the way. You work in the browser.
Finish Case on Your Terms
Same account, same dashboard, same place your cases already live. Nothing separate to open, update, or maintain.
One Workflow, Start to Finish
From patient to finished appliance, under one roof. Everything happens in one place. Enter the patient, choose what you're making, and the system tells the scanner what the case needs. Scans land on the treatment Rx as you capture them, ready to design the moment you stop. Design it yourself with AI or hand it to a designer, then print it on your own counter. No files to move, no second application, and no step that starts with finding something.
Start with Patient
Enter patient details once and open the treatment Rx. Everything after this attaches to that case.
Choose the Workflow
Pick the indication first and the system already knows what the case requires — including which scans.
Scan
The scanner asks for exactly what this case needs, in order. A denture takes more than a crown — it prompts you rather than letting you find out later.
Design
Your scans are already on the case. Design from them yourself, or hand it to a dedicated designer.
Make
Send the finished design straight to the printer on your counter. Same case, same dashboard, nothing to export. Scan once. Choose how it gets designed and made. Every practice draws the line in a different place. Some want to design in-house and print the same day. Some want the case handled end to end. Most want both, depending on the week. Foundation doesn't make you decide up front — the scan is the same scan, and you pick the path case by case.
Design Options
The scan enters your dashboard once and can go anywhere from there. Design it yourself with AI assistance, hand it to a dedicated SprintRay designer, or send it straight to a partner lab to be made. Switch paths mid-case if the week changes.
Self Design with AI
AI-assisted design, with you in the chair. Studio proposes the restoration from your scan and you shape it from there — margins, contacts, anatomy. You keep control of the clinical decisions and skip the work that isn't one. Fastest path to a same-visit case.
Design with Human
A dedicated designer takes the case. A real person, assigned to your case and reachable about it — request revisions, ask for changes, iterate until it's right. For complex work, or for any week when your chair time is worth more than your design time.
Outsource to Partner
Have it printed or milled by a participating partner lab and shipped to you. For practices that don't manufacture in-house, or that do and need to offload overflow. The scanner and the design platform still do their part — somebody else does the making. Scan. Design. Make. Handing a case to someone else usually means losing sight of it. Here every case sits in the same list with its current status — designed in-house, handled by a designer, or out with a partner lab. Open it, see where it is, and say something if it needs changing. Scan, design, make: one account from the first capture to the thing you hand the patient.
