The sinus lift curette “Tatum” features an overall length of 191 mm and working ends with a width of 3.5 mm. It is specifically designed for the atraumatic detachment of the Schneiderian membrane from the surrounding bone in the maxillary sinus – an essential step for vertical bone augmentation. Application: The curette is gently inserted into the maxillary sinus. Thanks to its sharply contoured working ends, the membrane can be separated from the bone in a controlled and tissue-preserving manner – with minimal risk of perforation. Alternative instruments: To protect the delicate Schneiderian membrane, semi-sharp sinus lift elevators can also be used. They allow for an even gentler preparation and further reduce the risk of injury.
